Fall Fashion is in the air

Well the breezes have shifted from hot, humid summer air to a refreshing, cooler autumn air. Emilie and I would like to welcome and thank our three new  wonderful employees! Ann Kotula, Lindsay Gallagher, and Cary Mason. Ann really helped hold down the fort this summer, but her schedule is more limiting this fall with her youngest starting school. Lindsay and Cary have come on board, and just at the right time!

The Little Shoebox is brimming with fall shoes, boots, handbags and jewelry! We have been delighted with our busy days; customers loving our collections and everyone happy with sales and purchases! Each season, Emilie and I look to bring in new lines that we hope will be an asset to the other lines. Two new lines that we are excited about are Vince Camuto and Isaac Mizrahi. Both have great price points and terrific style. Both have been well received and we are happily moving forward with them for next spring! We just returned from New York, buying for Spring 2013.

 Before we tell you about our newest addition to the spring line, let's chat about two upcoming events.



On October 2nd and 3rd, we are participating in a bridal fashion show; Brides Against Breast Cancer; Cinderella A Fairytale Wedding, at Maryvale Castle. This event is for an important cause, and we are proud to be a part of it. If you are interested in attending, you can go to the website of Wedding411.com for the details.

Secondly, on Thursday October 4th, we are hosting a luncheon and lecture with designers Lee Reich and Nancy Geist of Butter shoes and Something Bleu shoes. This will be great fun, with the ladies giving us the insight to their inspiration for their designs; the color combinations, the embellishments, their style. We have a very strong following of devoted customers for these lines, and we are thrilled to bring Lee and Nancy to Baltimore to share their knowledge and expertise.

Although we like to participate and host outside events, our main focus is always what is going on in the store. As you have seen in the fashion magazines, a vintage inspired look is back and we have several looks, from the lace up shootie, to the 70's sturdy full coverage shoe with the thick stacked heel. We also have (and are selling with record speed) the must have, smoking slipper. This fall's collection is an array of flats, heels, high, mid and low, and great boots, from the practical to the "wow"!  So rinse off your summer feet, and come in for some  real shoes!

And what's that new addition to the resort/spring collection??? Sun glasses! Isaac Mizrahi is launching sun glasses, and we are the first boutique to present them! Audrey Hepburn inspired...these are truly fabulous! Emilie and I must have tried on 100 pairs; we had such fun!!!! We thank our wonderful customers who have made our fall season start off with such energy and enthusiasm ! Shoes, boots and handbags are coming in daily, so stop by and see what's new!
